Window of Words

       God has been teaching me about the extraordinary power of words. The words I speak, listen to, and entertain in my mind carry the potential to produce life and death. Too often I allow words to carelessly slip from my lips or linger in my heart without first sifting them through the truth of Scripture. Little words pile together shard by shard creating an instrument of destruction aimed at both myself and those around me.  I must be a strict master over my words mandating that they conform to the standards found in God's Word. God desires for my words and meditations to be edifying, truthful, and timely; always produced from a heart of love. My words and meditations reflect my heart and ultimately my commitment to following my Savior. I pray that those around me will see the beauty and hope of Jesus through the window of my words.
